Removing putty and glue?

I saw the discussion on removing paint and primer, but what about the \"big guns\"? I picked up some larger figures that were poorly primed and assembled, with big glops of glue and putty that looked like it was applied with a trowel. Anybody have reccomendations for obliterating this crud? I\'m gonna try paint thinner, but would still appreciate any feedback from the board. Thanks, everyone!

Well, acetone dissolves (weakens?) superglue, and good ol\' pinesol makes green stuff (kneaditite) soft, and thus easily removed. Brake fluid, as far as I have used it, did not affect neither of them.

Removing Glue And Green Stuff

Formby\'s Furniture stripper works for me. Strips paint, superglue and anything else you can think of in about thirty minutes, and if it doesn\'t get it all the first time, just drop it back in and let it soak a while longer. I dont reccomend it for plastics, though, as you end up with a puddle of citrus scented goo.

Acetone

Even acetone is just barely phasing the putty and glue on thjese models! I\'ll try and find some Formby\'s furniture stripper next. Thanks, SteelCult!
