Just bought my wife a Rebel T3i for a combination anniversary/mother's day gift. Just playing around she took a shot of one of WIP miniatures from about 6 feet away with the telephoto lense. The picture is amazing, but you can see every tiny error. I'll see if I can get the pic posted this afternoon.

Highly recommend the Rebel. Now we just have to figure out the setup for taking mini pictures.

Here are the pics. They make my transitions look horrible, but I'm really amazed at the quality of the photo with no lighting, no backdrop, no prep at all.
