Raising the Bar

Hi all. Long time lurker, new to the forums. I\'ve been painting armies for quite some time now and have been blessed with a significant number of appearance / players choice awards from some of the biggest venues in the US.

I\'ve long \'drooled\' over the beauty of some of the models on this site and many others.

After some big inspiration (Namely helping the judges at Adepticons Rogue Demons and handling some AMAZING minis), I\'ve finally decided to push myself and take a stab at the Golden Demons.

I will be working a couple of entries up for Chicago Gamesday, as well as will be adding my Wood Elves to the Armies on Parade.

Anywho, I\'ve just posted up a bunch of my stuff and hopefully will get some more up in the next couple of days. The ogre army bits were painted this year and are my most recent minis.

I know working blending is an area I specifically need to focus on but if you could take a gander at some of my minis and make some suggestions / comments, I would greatly appreciate it.

I like your style. It is nice and neat and great color choices. The Ogres and Dryad unit are especially nice. The only suggestion I can make is bring up your highlights a bit.

I definitely concur, bring those highlights up and your mini\'s will really stand out. They all look great

clean work. i agree with the contrast comments. the base on the techmarine is too plain imo. also the horse looks as if it has long fur rather than short hair
