Rackham/Confrontation....

Who is the predominant figure painter over there?

I was looking at some of the newer stuff today and the blending and weathering is mind boggling.

I love the way some of the copper has oxidised on certain pieces as well. The green rust looks great.

Who is it?

I believe Cyril on CMON here paints some of them, though I\'m not entirely sure who Le Maitre de Peinture would be..

Sorry, gotta practice French.. :p

I\'d say: just take a look at the top 10 Confrontation minis and that will answer your question.

The top 10 Rackham produced figures features 8 different artists. And of those only Cyril looks like he paints in a style even remotely similar to the display pieces on their website.

P.S: Where is there a large gallery of their stuff other than rackham-store.com?

I\'m afraid that there are only two big Rackham galleries on the net: the first on being the Rackham store site and the second one being CMON.
There are a lot Confrontation pictures on the web, but they are scattered over several artist\'s pages... you might try google :).

I managed to get into the confrontation.fr directory and have a nose around.

There\'s some cool stuff on there which isn\'t on the rackham-store site.

I assume they use Vallejo, as I saw and in progress pic once, but Cyril has admitted he uses watered down GW, but that may only be for skin...

Hi there. Vallejo are using Rackham minis in their leaflet for their new range; I\'ve been often led to believe, mainly via ravage magazine, that Rackham painters use mostly Prince August paints, which are Vallejo under the French distributor\'s name. My guess is that the painter will use any paint s/he likes...

Rag·Narok does have a list of painters: Vincent Fontaine, Martin Grandbarbe, William Mordefroy, Eric Nouhaut, Sébastien Pique.

Paints

I\'m sure they use all sorts. However in a previous article one of the painters mentioned they ust Liqutex.

I don\'t have the article, someone poisted it on the mini-painter group
