I always wash with Bestial Brown to get the fur really dark and then drybrush Snakebite leather at the top of the fur and Bleached Bone at the bottom so i get a fading effect.

If it\'s tabletop, why not just basecoat it a dark brown and drybrush it up. Saves the time of a washing step.

Or just stain-paint em all lol

Tabletop fur = Paint fur darkest shade then highlight by drybrushing a couple times with lighter colors.

Try a Scorched Brown/Bestial Brown basecoat, then drybrush with Vomit Brown... then apply a thinned wash of Brown Ink, if you like (to smoothen the drybrushing effect)
Ends up looking like the Chaos knights in my gallery (link below) :D

I definitely recommend the ink wash after final dry brush. As said, gets rid of powdery effect of dry brushing.

But depends, as long as happy as will be seeing from average of 2 feet anyway on tabletop.

Overall effect is the key. ood luck I know how you feel I have just started ploughing through my new skaven army!! Too many figures....too little time
