Question of the moment...

Are there any rules for conversions to minis, as yet?

Like, say if you took a repulsor shield off a Revenger and swapped it for a flame thrower on a Repenter...?

Sure, the stat change is easy enough, mentally, but is there an official rule on this kind of thing?

none so far. the no quarter magazine has articles on adding items to figures to distinguish them as elite units, but there has not been anything about swapping out weapons.

Actually, yes, there is an official ruling. It\'s up on PP\'s site somewhere, and it was in the back of one of the No Quarter mags. The general jist is this:

Any models converted must be based on a WM model, and must be \"WYSIWYG\"--all weapons listed on the stat card must be on the model. You need to have an original of the model, too, just in case the tourney organizer rules it out.

Now, of course, this really only applies to tournaments. For friendly games, you can do whatever you and your friends want to do. However, there is no rules (and never will be, from what I understand) for weapon-swaps or other modifications to troop types. So, feel free to do what you want, but realize that if you go around adding or changing weapons, shields, and the like, you won\'t be able to use them in tournaments, and most people at your FLGS probably won\'t let you use them, either.
