Quality of Tale of War miniatures. Not impressed

I was curious what everyone's opinion was of the Tale of War minis. I just recently picked up thier Little Red Riding Hood mini (with the AK-47). While I found her assembly to be problematic (nothing I could not deal with) the quality of her Wolf was simply poor. The model did not fit well togeather and I had a huge gap, that even greenstuff could not fix. Normally I do not complain about a model, but at 17 bucks I was hoping for better quality.

I don't know about their customer service, but it's always worth sending the manufacturer an email. That sounds like exceptionally bad product, perhaps it's a miscast or something? At any rate you might get a refund or replacement out of it...

I only have one of the minis, and it seemed fine to me!

I too have only had one of their minis, the same one in fact and I found it to be extremely poor, the wolf particularly but I also found that some mould lines were so think that it obscured the detail of the figure. I got mine relatively cheap so didn't actually do anything about it. May have been that particular cast but it has put me off buying their range and it is a shame as they have some pretty cool mini's.

I have the 28mm one and had some issues with the wrist/basket socket also the supplied base is too small. Other than that the detail was lovely. The wolf with my mini was okay. Although the roman centurion and one of the pirates was miscast at the leg/socket area.

My wolf wasn't great either, not sure if its unfixable, I threw it back in the box without worrying about it so I couldn't have been too bad. I bought a couple of pirate busts, a little bit of pitting here and there, but only in recesses lucklily, the cast quality was generally good although some stitching detail looks unpaintable due to it being very thin and poorly reliefed. Nothing I can't fix mind.
