I\'m curious if anyone has had much success on here in trading or selling stuff... I had a lot of older GW models that are lying about I should get rid of... wondering if there is indeed a market for it.

Mmmmm...

IMHO, unless you and any interested party live in the same city, or near, sale and trade might be slow going. There are some members here that would be willing to trade you some oldies, but then again, I haven\'t seen it done.

Depending on how old and rare it is, eBay is always a ready market. Big multipart pieces are desirable, but before you go rushing of to the bay you\'ll need to take pictures of what you\'re selling since you most likely won\'t get bids otherwise.

If it\'s more recent stuff, then post it up here.

trading venues

I presume everyone, or most people here know about Bartertown. if not, well check out www.bartertown.org

Trademaster Adam\'s been running it for years, and althogh there is a lot of crossposting of ads lately, which makes for some excessive noise in the various categories, it is a great avenue to explore.

Ebay is good too, but personally I like going through Bartertown more. Its a grass roots thing. I\'ve been using it since 93 or 94 when it was on the falcon.ukans.edu machine (iirc)... I\'ve only had 1 sour deal in all that time. He also has a good/bad trader reference db there too... long before ebay was even extant. :) Also, Ebay is set up exclusively for sales, where bartertown is an open forum, so negotiating trades works too, which is a good thing, in my opinion.

There are also a lot of fiendish collecters there, so you can often get top dollar if you happen to have some popular OutOfPrint figure.

just my $00.02
