Q about the Immolator sprue

OK, continuing to build on as tiny a budget as possible:

The Immolator sprue has a storm bolter on it. How does this mount?
Basically, is it the same as the one you get with SM tanks on the Land Raider hatches sprue?

Yes, i really am quibbling about the extra £4 to get another hatches sprue. These tanks are rapidly ascending in cost to frightening levels, everything counts now...

The immolater turret hatch ring is taller and the stom bolter actually mounts to the front of it. Not on a pintel mount like the SM vehicle turret ring does. So instead of the gunner being exposed on top fireing the weapon, the sister can fire it from inside I guess as the gunners head is only popping out of the hatch.

Do you reckon it could be altered easily to be mounted on a SM pintle-mount?

Well thats a loaded question..I build models for a living.. for me yes.

It is styrene plastic so it sould convert and glue well. It does have it sown mount on it. You woul have to do some cutting and converting but anythings possible.
