I designed it with intent of being a line of terrain kits that assembled looks exactly as pictured.
I see it used as a diorama, gaming piece, display shelf for miniatures? Anything really.
Design Story:
Ok, I know how to design for laser cutter, so I was copied a few models from the web. But I couldn't force myself into making anything other then existing Sci-fi bunkers and stuff. Then after, I was watching LOTR and saw all the buildings and their tree structures, and thought hey! Nobody is making that! So started designing these in my spare time.
So yea, first the designs were unique, and I still can't find anything that would be similar on the market, I am not talking about the custom built stuff.
Secondly, I thought, hey, its always made of MDF.. When you assemble something in MDF, it looks quite ugly. But still, I couldn't source high grade MDF locally, got me frustrated, and then remembered Plexiglass. It was everything I was looking for: thickness, color, finish, quality.. And as a terrain kit, its perfect to save time and for those that are terrible painters. Its not necessary to paint it, it does looks very ok as is. Yes! in hand of a master potential is unlimited, but I saw some hideously painted terrain kits..
So please leave your thoughts and comments bellow! Thanks.
