PRO painting bases: desert and snow

Hi

I paint minis since 2 years now,, and allways take my time in order to make them the best i can

i\'m asking for technics to do perfect bases for my tomb kings\' ones and snow for chaos minis

Desert bases can be done with just some very fine sand. Painted in desert yellow and then drybrushing kommando khaki and then bleached bone :)

Anyway, great snow base there. I\'ve got designs on a dragon lair based in a snowy island cave but it\'s going to be complicated, involve some sort of crystal clear compound that I can use for ice, snow flocking, and lots of minis.

As for desert, I get some of the superfine sand from Michael\'s (they use it for candles or \"sand art\") and mix it with Zap-A-Gap. Dries so hard it\'s like concrete (or pavement to those across the pond).

I will second Pat\'s articles - he does great snowbases!
