Your painting is certainly improving, nice stuff!
Try a fine highlight of mithril silver on your golds, it really helps them pop.
I always start my golds from Dwarf bronze, then layer on the golds (can\'t recall their names, but the GW ones from darkest to lightest) with a mithril silver highlight.

For my gold I do
Tin bits
Brazen Brass
green ink wash(watered down)
drybrush brazen brass/shining gold
Drybrush Burnished gold
Your right though I do need to highlight it
