if price is of no concern do what I did and buy a Nikon D3 (or D3x)

Or a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III if you prefer Canon.

OMG... and i thought oke lets say money is no reall concern lol but as the nikon d3 is allready a very prof photo camera and expensive 2 :( , I would rather be looking at a price tag of say around 500 - 600 euro :) . (never thought that photo camera could be sooooo expensive :drunk: ).

I\'v been looking at these:

Rather snazzy looking and a great size for travelling.

Peace and love...

The Blad is pretty damned impressive..

I just bought a Nikon D80 and a Sigma 10-20mm lens for £670... whis was a cracking deal.... (also got carried away with a Lowe Pro rucksack and some filters lol) Already shopping around for new lenses lol :drunk:

I like the look of the sigma dp1... a dslr sized sensor in a compact... nice :)

Canon G10...

Sigma 10-20!! That\'s possibly my favourite lens. I\'ve taken it everywhere and absolutely hammered it. Great lens :)

Also... to everyone else, if you haven\'t checked out spacemunkies flickr, I uge you to do so... damn good photographer if you ask me!

VR is on the lens and honestly I still wouldn\'t rely on it for photographing minis... you\'re better off buying an ok tripod for minis than a VR lens... or for out and about, consider a monopod.

As for the D60 and D80... both are brilliant cameras with good lenses attached and a good eye behind them. You only have to poke around flickr to see some of the photos taken with either to see their quality.

Nikons are probably all good. D60 and D80 are awesome (see reviews on the digicam-review sites). But for mini photography bear in mind you may want to buy an additional lens.

Two words: tri and pod.

VR/image stabilisation is a waste of time for mini shots - it\'ll actually induce motion blurring with a tripod mounted camera, so you have to turn it off anyway! I personally wouldn\'t make it a priority in glass under 200mm. Works great in my 500mm beasty though :)

@Matty - Don\'t bother with the Sigma!!

Just too many limitations for the price you pay. The Leica (whilst still overpriced!) is better value.

I\'d take a G9, a quality tripod and a flash for the same money over both. 230 quid from Amazon. Absolute bargain!!

The Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3 is worth more than a look at too, especially if you\'re planning on doing anything in low light. Leica optics for considerably less than a Leica badge on a very similar camera....

Cheers Scott. Just trying to get some options as I\'m hoping to pick one up cheap in Andorra at the back end of the month.

That Panasonic does look nice though... lol

Peace and love...
