Phil "Starts with a Pistol"

Quick question, does skill this mean Phil gets assigned the pistol from the starting equipment mini-deck (pistol, crowbar, axe and pans), or is this separate to that, ie: he still gets equipment dealt to him, and therefore could possibly start with 2 pistols or a pistol and a pan.

Sorry if I missed where this is probably explained in the rules.

It is in addition to the normal starting equipment. Phil can often start dual wielding pistols to make him better.

Thanks for that, it is what I suspected.

I'm going to be running my first Zombicide/BBQ day tomorrow and just ran through Scenario00 to get a quick grasp of the rules. It seems to flow quite nicely.
Hope it goes well, some non-gamers will be in attendance, but given they can keep up with Zombies!!! I'm not expecting many issues that this forum hasn't already solved.
