I know some of the posters earn some money from this hobby, but I find very annoying that some (Brainless, among them) post comments like \"For sale, if you like it\". Maybe it is nothing, but it irks me almost as much as people that post photos of minis that they did NOT paint (as Borg does).:flame:

I also find that this is being used by some as a means of free advertisement. This is annoying. I tend to skip on pics like this and these people should look at other forms of advertising such as the banner exchange that comes with this site.

First, I apologize for posting pics under Borg. It was when Coolmini first started, and I wanted to have some of the Golden Demon entries to seed the gallery. I think the pictures are all properly credited and most of those painters are starting to have their own galleries on Coolmini now. Didn\'t want to cause any confusion.
As far as advertising is concerned, it is different strokes for different folks, really. It don\'t think it makes a difference. There are some that treat this as a hobby and there are others that make a few bucks off it. It\'s all good. I personally like to check out ebay once in a while anyways to see what\'s going on. But I will let Chern know about this issue and see how he feels... But remember, most art galleries also have art for sale...

With a name like Borg, I thought it was some great collective of miniature pictures; it\'s a perfect name. If it\'s by Borg, it\'s not by the person who posted it. Doesn\'t bother me at all.
I don\'t mind people advertising that they\'re selling the mini, either. Half the time I think \"You think you can sell that?\" and the other half I think, \"Hey, they would be cool to pick up...\" Doesn\'t bother me at all.

Well, I didn\'t post this topic expecting some sort of action being taken about people that do peddle their wares.
It was mostly, to vent some steam, and to see how you people felt about it.
On the other hand, I do not always read the comments on the photos (nor the avg. score overhead, for that matter), so, for some time, I thought Borg was some kind of Über Painter God (or Godess, as you prefer), so, checking the submissions and seeing that every one of them was credited to other people, I was annoyed by the notion of people tipping someone
else\'s hat.
All in all, not big issues, guess I was a bit cranky then.
