Any of you guys have any advice for painting woodgrain on a pre-textured mini. I am thinking it is mostly dry-brushing but I am looking for any advice I can get.

I am going for the old worn wood look like in these bases:

I\'d suggest Light Drybrushing then lots of glazes to put the shadow tonality and variations into the wood.

yes it seems that several colors have been used for the drybrushing as well as the shading

paint midtones. Wash a darker color into the pre-textured grain. Drybrush highlights, go across the grain for this step.
