Painting Topless and other body uses to paint

Over on the Reaper forums they have an \"in action\" thread showing painters at work. There have been numerous jokes made about a few of the painter who paint without shirts. I too am a topless painter. I do it simply for the fact I am messy and have messed up many a shirt in my time.

So who here else does it?

The other issue is using my \"belly roll\" to paint. Now I will admit I am a fat guy, and I did not realizing what I was doing until painting today. I was sitting with my ledt arm braced on my belly while I painted with my right.

when you start using your belly as a pallette and your belly button as a water well you should probably think about getting out more.

lol! I can see it now, 3 friends are painting in a bedroom, using their bellies as palllettes, ones blue, ones red, and ones yellow! Imagine the fun. :drunk:

Oh well, good reason to get your other half in to painting? lol

I don\'t see why not if you\'re trying to avoid ruining shirts, but I wouldn\'t do it at the local gaming store... Or it might possibly happen if I get another price rise!

I have what I guess is an unusual style when I paint. I prop my left foot up on the chair I am sitting on, hold my model in my left hand and balance it on my knee, then paint like that.

In the long term I think terrible spinal pain is coming my way. In the short term I have completely screwed every single pair of trousers I have, with various colour splashes on the left knee.

Ever since I completely ruined a 90 quid pair of Gstar jeans though I have tended to paint in just my boxers and a tshirt.

Now I just have a vibrant coloured left knee from time to time.

I wouldn\'t recommend you try the no trouser technique at your local gaming store though!

This just turned from inoccent problem solving to twisted in a heartbeat!

*best Jack Nickolson voice* \"I like to paint in the nude\"

I messed up some jeans due to spillage *oh the exitement!* but never a shirt.

Oh, like any thread with the word \"topless\" in the title is headed for insightful discussion here. lol

I wish I had something juicy to add. Since I paint after my kids go to bed I am typically in my pajamas. (gasp!)

T-shirt (I have a couple that are reserved just for painting) and shorts -

Too much belly and belly hair to paint without a shirt, thank you very much

I tend to paint in just my boxers but that\'s because i tend to start painting shortly before bed and at heart, i\'m a nudist... and that is not a pretty site to see my fat little arse nude.

I just paint in whatever I have on at that moment (ranging from thick sweater and jeans to bathrobe only and everything in between. I don\'t use any bodyparts while painting besides the obvious (which would be hands and the like) Well I ted te steady my arms against the side of my torso, but that\'s it.

I have mentioned this before, but I use the thumb on my left hand (the one I use to hold the mini) as a pallette. Not to mix colours on, but to wipe excess paint off. After a long painting session most of my thumb will be covered in multi-coloured lines.

(...what a bunch of freaks here....) :p

I paint in t-shirt and jeans. Maybe I\'m doing something wrong, but I don\'t get paint everywhere; only on my thumb.

*Edit*: what Ritual just said.

I use this amazing invention called a \"rag\" which I made myself from a pair of old jeans, a squrae of which I place on my lap when painting and use to wipe my brush on.
I\'ve never tried painting topless though, I might have to look into that option.

;)

Woo Hoo! :D

Actually I tend to paint in what Im wearing, summer it would be shorts and a t shirt.. winter something much warmer. I don\'t wear anything nice when Im working or try not to.

When I paint I do paint on my left hand/thumb sometimes.

There are two ladies at my local gaming store that I wouldn\'t mind seeing paint topless but it wouldn\'t be worth it if everybody had to do it.

I got used to knowing the right amount of paint on my brush by running it over my heel and seeing how much is left behind. Don\'t know why - don\'t know how to stop.
