Painting faces.

As i look at my mini\'s i\'m pleased with how i pant but still i can\'t get more contrast in the faces, I use:
- bestial brown.
- dwarf flesh .
- elf flesh (for the highest highlights).
i only got all the GW paint, so any ideas what colours i could use better for painting faces? (i use alot of water with my paints so i paint in a couple of layers, just so you know :D ).
here\'s a link to some more of my work , trough some stuff is quite old lol : http://www.one-ring.co.uk/phpBB2/album_personal.php?user_id=1994

thanks in advance,

if you want more contrast, make the highlights lighter and the shadows darker. add some purple/blue to your shading for the darkest shadows

Try posting examples of what you are after. You recipe is decent, but lacks a bit of contrast.. perhaps a bit dark for elves though.

Yep good advice from the guys above, also stay tuned on the one ring as I have just submitted an article on there about painting faces. I have too recently started adding other colours into shaded areas, purples and greys work well used carefully not tried blues yet but I am currently trying different things out to see what results I get.
Trouble is with Lotr minis they are that bit smaller than regular GW and sometimes the effect can look a bit too dramatic. I found that on my latest \"Celeborn\" and have today gone back over and redone part of it.
