What paints will you be using...? GW?

And are you aiming for dark green skinned or lighter green skin?

Oh you mean for the clothing/armour etc...?

Well that depends on what \"clan\" they\'re from... I assume they\'re Warhammer gobbos and not 40K Gretchin...?

Not too sure about Warhammer, but orcs/orks and gobbos tend to like checkers, and bold colours like reds and yellows.

But sometimes that can look a bit cartoony... If you want a darker feel then keep to dull or faded colours.

Hi there ad I am glad you liked my night goblin.

The don helped me with some colour\'s for my skin its as follows:-

basecoat of camo green, inked with dark angels green.
then using camo green, blend the shading in smoothly
next slowly mix in bleached bone, tiny bit by bit and slowly layer it up to pure bleached bone on the highest ridges.
this technique gives you a very earthy light green tone.

I made a slight mistake on mine I used green ink and not dark angles green, next one I do I will try with the the dark angles green.

Using that method you will find it easy to control how light you want to go and it does give nice earthy tone, big thanks to the Don for his colour choice.

looking forward to seeing some of your WIP\'s and good luck!

I like muted gobbos too.

I start with Catachan Green as a base, then work several layers of Camo Green over all but the recesses.

Instead of bleached bone I mix the Camo Green with Rotting Flesh and gradually work up the highlights to pure Rotting Flesh.

To smooth out the blends several heavily diluted greeny yellow washes go over, then i re-highlight with Rotting Flesh.

To give it a more interesting and real look (as real as goblins get anyway) finish up areas like the eyes and lips with some very thin blue glazes, and perhaps add some streaks of blue across the lips. A little red wash on the tip of the nose is cool too.
