Paint racks

As my paint collection continues to grow, I'm starting to consider organizing the bottles onto some sort of rack. Making something custom and nice would be the obvious solution, but I'm currently limited in the number of woodworking tools that I have. I'm curious what other people are using and how they like them. Some of the brands I've been looking at are TSP- http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261362351438?lpid=82 Iron Bow- http://www.etsy.com/listing/1233762...ing_else_mid&gclid=CKD5mY_R2bsCFc2VfgodhE4AFA This one from tabletop gaming bunker looks nice, but is a bit pricey and I'm unsure if they are still producing them- http://ttgbunker.blogspot.com/2012/02/model-paint-shelves-testimonials.html

Outside of those choices, there are a few other good looking ones from international sellers, but the increased shipping costs make them a bit harder to justify. Anyone have any other suggestions or personal experiences? I use mostly dropper style pots, and desk space is valuable so wall hanging would be ideal. Thanks.

Like you I'm looking for a vertical wall hanging solution. I'd not seen a couple that you linked to. But I'm in the UK.

However I have circa 250 paints. Mostly foundry (flip top lid) and they really should be upright not laid down, and my space is limited. Tiered / stadium seating solutions don't work for me.

I've been thinking of just drawing up my own and asking a friendly laser cutter to make it.

I too am interested in others' suggestions.

What you need, my friends, is not a paint rack but that rather a finger nail polish rack.

I ordered this about a year ago and it works great:

Pardon the quicky photo.

This product is of modest quality and of a somewhat brittle plastic. I wouldn't expect it to survive a drop. I have it screwed to the wall, to the left of my primary work area. As you can probably guess, I prefer Vallejo paints and it works perfectly for those. Craft bottles of paint don't quite fit. For me, this was good, since I won't want to use them for miniatures any more.

I get 19-20 bottles per row. with six rows. You'd think that would be enough...but paints just keep falling into my shopping basket whenever I go to my Friendly Local Gaming Store.

Dude paint racks is appeared when paint is low quality but I also do not have a paint rack because i use the good paint ,is to just take a piece of masking tap and put it on the top of each pot and then paint that...

I use theatre style racks:

I have two sitting side by side and a home made cardboard box using plastacine as separators for the last 10 or paints. I have 150+ paints overall. They're also good for organizing brushes. I paint to tops of all my paint lids so I can get a good reference of what colour they are.

This may be my stingy nature, but I go for stack-able trays, sorted by color, made from those smallish wooden boxes that clementine tangerines often come in at grocery stores. Perfect for me...
