paint flow

Does anyone notice that some colors seem to flow better than other in the same paint range? Or am I just dreaming.

If so, then what colors do people think are the worst. I find that although I love the color, komando kakhi seems to flow like pudding?

I dunno, mabey I\'m crazy :D

Yeah, that is pretty common and I guess it has to do with the pigments. Some of Vallejos brighter greens are terrible. They are extremely thin and takes forever to cover. VMC Medium Olive for instance... beautiful colour, horrible paint!

I\'ve noticed this too... glad it\'s not just me, I thought it was something I was doing wrong as a newbie!:D

VMC chocolate (brown) is terrible, lovely creamy brown colour, but super thin, it took me 10 coats (1:1 dilution) to cover a black basecoat.

Aren\'t those VGC paints? I know Cobra Leather is at least! Mine is quite runny, but still works quite well.

I\'ve been having this problem with some of the lighter GW browns (graveyard, khaki and desert yellow). Following the \"vigorous shaking\" advice I received here it\'s helped a little.

I hear ya, those are probably the coolest colors in their line right now, nice earthy colors.

I have a few of the VGC sets laying around, I was just using the GW paints until I use them up, mabey I should just tossem and try the VGC equivalents.
