I think there\'s a little bit too much going on with this mini. his saw blade arm is way too over the top for me and he has a bunch of other distracting sculpted details. I did see that you attempted to do some good metal work with highlights and shadows but the blood on him looks false to me. What I tend to use for blood is a mixture of red ink(Tamiya Clear Red is preferred but GW red ink works) and some Tamiya Smoke added in and then thinned of course. Makes for a nice blood to use. also, I think the ork\'s flesh could use further highlighting and shadowing. A good tip when painting for competition is to highlight and shade until you think it looks good, then highlight and shade further a couple more times to make the mini really stand out. So all in all, I think the mini could have used some modification/removal of some of his details to make him more realistic. I voted a 6. Keep up the good work and remember the scores don\'t really matter

@bigdennis,hehe thx dude,it was my friend who take the photo,i thought its better than before

@mathewbaich,wow thx a lot man for your painting tips, from what you say,i catch that to make the figure stand out is when i think that the highlight and shading is good enough, add a couple of further highlight and shading to make the figure stand out, isnt it? thx a lot dude for your tips of painting blood, the judge also say that this figure lack of \"somethin\" to make this mini stand out

@supervike,ahaha thx man for your comment

@squee: you\'re right on the money! Little things can help him stand out too! like little details on the base(freehand, a small animal, etc) or do the blood I was talking about. another thing that helps is to highlight the face of a mini a little more than the rest of the miniature, it helps the eye focus on what is important and most often, that\'s the face! glad I could help you out!
