Overview of CMON please!

Is there any way to get an overview of what all the CMON does and how it works from the user\'s perspective?

As a newbie here, I\'m still overwhelmed and confused by the site.

For example, I see the auction links at the upper corners all the time. Today, I\'m seeing a lot of the Bugman figure and the Tryion figure, but neither figure shows up in it\'s artist\'s galleries.

This site needs an Introduction course someplace. It\'s just got so MUCH in it and so MANY functions.

Help!

welcome to the e-pub that is CMON. Pull up a comfy chair, set back and lose all your free time.

on the main page ( www.coolminiornot.com ) there is an FAQ for what it is worth. there is where painters post thier minis and others vote on them -

This causes lots of discussion over here on the forums - especially here in the General Discussion and the Feedback/Bugs/Wishlist areas. The painting area is where you get to ask \"How do I paint glowing eyes like Cyril\" or \"how do I make my lava base hotter\" The minis forum is where you go to pimp for votes on your latest and beg for comments to destroy your ego and make you a better painter.

Then there are the articles section. This must be for the women because men won\'t read directions.

Oh, and don\'t believe anything that anyone says around here. Especially me.

I don\'t think you need to list the figures with CMON. The featured austion simply provides a link to the EBAY auction.

As to the rest of the site it\'s pretty straight forward really. The forums are for chatting and the various room titles say it all. If you want to talk about a figure you have submitted and pimp for votes go to \"Discuss Submissions\" If everyone tells you that your photos are to dark go to \"Photography \" section. want advice on painting go to \"Pinting and Conversions\" (or check out the article section) etc.

And if you have any other questions just ask. We are mostly a friendly bunch even if we sometimes have a bit of a spazz at each other.

The reason some minis aren\'t visible in the artists\' galleries is that Borg, the administrator of CMON, is on vacation and he does all the picture moderating. So, new posts aren\'t active yet and thus aren\'t visible in the galleries. Ebay listings, however, work and you can see the minis by typing the image id after the cmon address in the browser address field. The image id can be found by looking at the link for the ebay listing.
