Painted this guy to try something different, Ive never painted an ork before, or anything green for that matter so it was a nice learning experience.
It was also my first real try at real metals. Considering it was mostly test I think it turned out ok. Let me know what worked and were I could improve, thanks!

Either the pic or the mini is a bit dark, and the base looks black to me in the pic, so it must be the pic cause it seems something is reflecting near one of the clumps of grass and GW bases don\'t just reflect in one spot so it must be flocking.

The barbed wire looks nice, and it seems to be painted real good. Just a little bit more bright picture would probably show what this truly looks like.

Lighting, the bane of all minis.

Nice work.
Something that I\'ve seen used (and done myself) is a tiny glaze of yellow over the highlights of Orc (Ork) skin. Can make the flesh \"pop\".

the light is def. dark couldnt seem to get a good photo of him, any ideas how to get the light better? Maybe a directional light to go with the overhead lamp?.... Nope I didnt add anything to the mini, actually the grappling hook is what made me want to purchase it, so however sculpted the mini great job

Nice job on the skin mate! And the check pattern is really neat being that tiny! I have this mini on order for a commission job I\'m doing.... Any suggestions on where I should place the yellow parts needed to paint it in a Bad Moon scheme?

this mini is kinda tricky to really show allegiance to one clan, I think the areas would be probably the weapons and the bands around his arms and legs and on the back pack it has an area that \"open\" but its textured with all the folds. I had the idea to put a symbol on the end of the sticky bomb that is on top of the pack might be a good spot for a bad moon symbol.. it\'d be small though, hope that helps

worked on taking some better photos I think from these you can tell better as to what the model actually looks like in the light, thanks again for any comments and criticism. I actually entered this guy a Chicago GD, I was proud of how I did considering it was my first contest.
