This is my first picture on CMON. This guy took me a pretty long time to paint. I\'m working on a 12 men squad right now. Once they finished I\'ll take pictures.

The thing I like the most about this mini is his skintones(wich took a really long time to paint). And also the emtal Oxidations. I think they look really realistic, cause not al metal oxidations are orange/red.

Just be honest if you vote, but \'d like to know what you don\'t like and what you do.

Voted and commented, nice work the pic is a little out of focus and makes it difficult to see all your work.
I like the skin tone and the reds very much.

It is only a little out of focus. Do you have a tripod? that is what I use and then I also use the built in timer on the camera to cut out any wobble.

I love the metals and skintones, could you maybe tell how you did the gold :p ? All in all it looks really great, just base it ! I really look forward to seeing more of this army, I bet it will look sweet. Oh and have you maybe got a recipe for the skin too lol ? I really like it.

But yeah the pics could be a bit better, getting a tripod, and better lighting and they\'d look better.

yep, a tabletop tripod is really cheep and that timed shutter release is priceless, with those two thing you should have much better results. From what I can see you\'ve done a nice job on your basic troop choice, good color combinations, tidy freehand. They should look good as a full squad!

Fix up the picture and let us see more detail and you should get even more feedback!

Well, I think I could get a tripod someweher, I\'ll start looking tomorrow morning. but here is the skin recipe:

-Base coat: Catachan green

-Layer it up to Goblin green

-Then start adding Rotting Flesh to goblin green and start painting little stripes so it has a more muscle-like structure(or at least it seams to have)

-Then add palid flesh(the Vallejo Game colour one) paint little stripes over te rotting flesh stripes, and use allmost pure palid flesh armound the mouth areas and the knuckless of the hands.

And for the gold, I can\'t really remember how I dit it. But it acctualy is more bronze then, and I used the same metehod as Jakob Nielsen on it, well almost the same :innocent: . But here it is:

-Basecoat Valejjo Bronze.

-Then mix it with Shining gold 50/50.

-Brown ink wash(thinned ofcourse:p).

-Then give it washes with purple, orange and red inks.

- Then paint it with bronze again. And keep adding mithril silver till you hit the sharp edges.

Ow, and to add the Rust effects, I used Vallejo Smoke mixed with some blood red. And then washed it with Smoke on it\'s own. Them highlight the rivets and realy sharp edges again with mithrill silver.
