Hello all
It's been a while since I posted here, but I recently picked up a paintbrush again. Going through some of the models I had kicking around, I settled on a squad of Ork Kommandos. My goal with these fellows is to paint the entire squad to a GD (or as close as I can manage) standard, and really to push myself to learn and improve. View attachment 14980
Started with the Nob. I tried to create a dark atmosphere with him, and once his 4 friends are done I want to get them all on a display base.
If anyone has some comments or criticisms I would love to hear them. It's the best way to get better, after all! (Or perhaps a WIP thread...)

that's one of the coolest ork models imo. i believe you need to push the highlight a bit more all around to make it pop, especially the face to make it the focal point. the green skin is good but to make it interesting you can use other colours in the shading, like reds and browns and purple for example. some dirt and rust wouldnt be wrong, he is an ork after all.
