well GW just posted painted pics of this unusual sister\'s thing... I hvae no clue what it is.

I think it turned out really well! Not too sure about the person stuck on the front of it though..
It really does showcase the imagry of GW so well though, and I know I\'ll buy one. What\'s your opinion? What do you think it is? My guess is a some kind of dreanought

Try painting that chrome senmm you clever gits.
Looks like some kinda dread to me as well,I would guess the lady on the front is either a pilot or an enemy to instill fear,,,,im not into 40k much so its only as guess though

I really like it, nice gothic feel to it, excellent for the 40k universe. My guess: it will be a cross between a dreadnought and a sentinel.

It looks more like an imperium version of the Eldar warwalker to me?!

Not too sure if I like it so I ill have to wait to see it.

Repent, because tomorrow you will die!

Well, as far as I know, the person on the front is some kind of sinner stuck there to suffe rfor his sins and bring suffering to the enemies - sick, isn´t it? I like it.lol

Brushlicker and Freak!
I think it looks a bit silly, is that guy the pilot? He looks like he\'s \"plugged in\" to it, he aint gonna last long whatever.

Good for the bitz box though.

It is for the new Witchhunters range (Ordo Heriticus inquisitors), apparently when they were designing it, they originally planned it to be the size of a killer kan, but it just got bigger along the way. I think Micha is right about the person on the front

Hmm, yet more cool-looking religious fanatic nonsense from GW. I mean, if that\'s the pilot, then any halfways-decent sniper or hunter from 1850 could take this thing out with one shot. Maybe the \"penitent\" is just along for the ride, so to speak.

It\'s nice but silly.

I think the first thing I would like to do is file off that idiot on the front.
As Trevor said, good for the bitz box:D

Greetings...

- Regarding the \"pilot\":

As far as I know there will be three versions of the \"pilots\" - this one seems to be a sister of battle (notice the breasts... ;), there is another which is a sinner, being punished for his crimes against the Emperor, the third is supposed to be an inquisitor sitting on some kind of chair/throne.

- Regarding the \"silly\" factor:

This model represents perfectly what the Imperium is: A bunch of fanatics killing anything that doesn\'t fit their standard of \"human\", and burning anyone who defies the word of their god... exactly like the Christian Inquisition did.

I believe it\'s exactly because I hate religious fanatics (of any kind) in real life that I love the setting of Warhammer 40k.

I can understand the killing and burning...

..in fact I have no problem with that...I just can\'t see the point (I am sure I will however, when I get to read the fluff) of why anyone would want to strap themselves to the front of an armoured assault vehicle. The punishment motive I can understand.:D

Greetings...

Lol...

Sisters of Battle, aka Daughters of the Emperor are quite a fanatical bunch (think Nuns with Guns ;)

If you read the fluff on them you will find that strapping themselves to that thing would be considered not only their duty but a great honour...

;)

Penitent engine

I saw it at the GT in Calgary today.

It had a different \"driver\" with a full mask with the =I= logo on it.

The piece is amazing and I will buy a couple for my SoB/Inq army.

I also saw two of the new sisters and they are also fantastic.

Much like the current dreadnoughts, I think this thing has improperly scaled legs and feet. If the person is supposed to be a pilot, it is too exposed for combat survivability, so I\'d want some armor there somewhere. If what they wanted was some inanely oversized armor suit, they should have made it that way. Well, it will be interesting to see how people mess with them.

Too many Orky conversion possibilities running through head!!!

Maybe it has a forcefield of some kind? thats why the \"pilot\" can be so exposed.

Just a thought eh....

is it the pilot?
is it dead?
NO! Its just stupid!
Hahahaahahahha
anyway, i like the idea a lot, but as with the defiler\'s head-totem-thing, the body is something worthy of change...

I like it. As for the pilot/penitant whatever, I\'m guessing it will be along the lines of the archoflagelets, the \'sinners\' they erase the memories of, pump full of drugs, brainwash, and send out into the frontlines as a disposable engine of destruction. :bouncy:

Sounds somewhat reminiscent of my collegiate years :bouncy:

I actually think it looks pretty cool though the feet do seem disproportionately small.
