on buying terrain accessories

Does anyone have any recommendations for a place to buy terrain bits? I see some nice fantasy ones from Scibor but I was also looking for like a modern or sci-fi street lamps etc. Not ready bases or full buildings, suitable for like the dioramas seen on this site.

I don't see a terrain forum so I assume this is the right place for the question.

Personally I don't know of anyone doing it but have you tried looking for Infinity Scenery ? That's the sort of thing it would go with, I saw accessories way back but I'm sorry I can't remember who it was that made it or where I saw it.

Yeah I was looking at some today actually, there were a lot of offerings but a lot were expensive buildings, special order, etc.

Have you considered making your own ? You could make small batches from resin. I don't know what you do or if you have any makes who could help you out but 3D Printing has really come a long way in the last year or two and you could even design something in 3D, have each bit printed then make them in resin, it's all fairly cheap and easy to do (except the 3D modelling part).

I actually do 3D modelling, I did some game type stuff in the past. But I will probably just buy some bits even if it has to be model train stuff or something.

I can think of a couple...

One that keeps appearing in my Facebook feed is

http://ttcombat.com/

More modern than SCI FI. But, there's some cool resin 'scatter' terrain.

Fenris Games does a ton of different stuff, but here's a link right to their Sci Fi

Armorcast has been around for along time, and still do some top notch stuff

http://www.armorcast.com/

My favorite is probably this one:

http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/

He's got a ton of great stuff, some bigger kits, but plenty of things like 'consoles' and the like.

Hope those help you!

Thanks. It was nice to see some old miniature lines in that last link. And they had a 28mm scale hippy van. I'm sure we could fit that into a space marine scenario or something right.

What are you waiting for then ? Make some stuff, 3D print it up. Cast in resin, then you have your own completely unique scenary !

That would be hilarious. Most 40k scenes are far too serious.
