As a new member here i thought i should introduce myself. Im sure you can work out my name from my screen name. My main game is Warhammer 40k but i also play Fantasy and Lord of the rings. At the moment i am working on a Knights of Dol Amroth army to take to the LOTR Grand Tournament. Ive got a Witch Hunters army to refinish sometime as they have been my main gaming army for a while now and are starting to show this. Ive also got some other projects i fancy sometime including a Apocolypse Ultramarine army which i have Calgar and his retinue for and a Death Korps of Kreig army. I may also do something about the Empire army i have some bits for sometime.

I also enjoy painting the odd special model and they will also appear here.

But for now here are some photos of my Knights of Dol Amroth:

All are started from a black undercoat. The red was first painted with Merchanite red before a dry brushing of red gore and then bloood red. The metal was painted tin bitz before being dry brushed with boltgun metal and then washed with a light black ink wash. I thenlightly drybrushed chainmail over this.

Any comments good or bad are welcome. As for basing im not sure what i will do here, its normaly the last thing i do.

first off what you doing on this late:D
Welcome to CMON
As for a few tips I suggest you have a good look in the articles section of the site or use the search on the forum. look at the stickys in the painting section.
First I suggest you thin down your paints and build up the color over several layers or for gaming thin a little and use a couple of layers. Most important slow down the figures look a little rushed take you time enjoy the time spent painting them and you results will improve. Paint the figure from the inside out eg flesh then armour then belts etc
Also have a good look at all the prep tips you can find.

I am very tempted to strip these models and start again. I have read alot of tips here and learnt alot since i started these models.

Do people think i should do this or just carry on?

It\'s entirely up to you, really. I guess you can look at it in two ways: 1) If you\'re using these for gaming, you might want to strip and repaint them so that you can apply the new tricks and your army will look more coherent. 2) Keep \'em, and in years to come look back and see how far you\'ve come since then!
