Olleys Armies Texan Scrunt < feedback needed please >

Well finished this guy, was loads of fun to paint.

What you guys think of him, is he good enough for me to offer the pic to Olleys armies for his website, so he has a painted one up there ?

As always feedback please on how I can improve him

Nice painting throughout. Should easily be worth offering to the website.

Comments for what they are worth...

Coat looks a little too plain. Nice blending, but looks as if it would benefit from breaking up a bit. Maybe a mud splatter effects on the bottom of it?

The base looks as if it is not quite finished. Not sure why. I know it is a desert image, but something dosen\'t looks quite right.

I like it.
The denim is nice. It\'s well painted without a doubt. I do agree that the coat needs a bit more something. I think maybe some highlights or deeper shadows could break it up a bit without ruining the composition.

Over all though, I think it\'s a wicked mini and you\'ve done a fine job with it.

I think the pictures are a bit off, but this guy has tons of detail....I love the \'dusty\' look. What a fun mini.

If you are going for a desert base, spruce it up a bit with some beige/tan/orange/light brown. If you are going for asphalt or gravel, it is OK as is, although a thin black wash would give it a bit more contrast. I agree with the previous comments about the cloak. He is very cool. Someone needs to sculpt a fuzzy guitar for these guys.

Agree with the above could well be the pics..Nice looking model though..

Maybe some very light blazes with a brown or similar could make the coat Pop a little more..
overall though nice looking piece.:beer:
