At what point does Recreational Prospecting become 'Retired for life'?

In other words, do you ever find anything?

in ohio not a whole heck of alot. i found about a gram or so in 2 1/2 months on the weekends. average is about 4-5 grams for the summer. people in the western US and alaska do MUCH better.

Well, that settles it, I'm moving to Alaska! ^_^

That prospector Pete doesn't look half bad. Might be tempted to pick a copy up. Reaper Mini also have a fairly good western figures line, but mostly cowboys and such. However, they also have a prospector figure called Crazy Pete (naming coincidence?) which you can see here. Maybe the two minis are a before and after photo of Pete?

(I'm a bit new to this, so included the link, but how does one get images to show in the threads?)

hopefully ill see you in alaska someday. :) but be warned the gold bug you hear oldtimers talk about is real lol. once you find that first bit of yellow in your pan your hooked.
crazy pete is the same fig (they just had multi angle shots and a photo of him sculpted in green stuff)he is the only one reaper has :( but the one from black scorpion that freakinacage posted is very comparable. I think, and im not sure being new myself, that you have to use something like photo bucket to post pics in the threads. at least thats how some other forums operate.

Ah, what I mean Black Scorpion Prospector Pete could be the "before" he finds gold, and Reaper Mini Crazy Pete is the "after" when he strikes it lucky!

There would probably be another prospector figure from Reaper Mini, as they're doing a Savage Worlds/Deadlands miniatures line based on the RPG. It's a weird west line, so expect stuff like steampunk, undead, spirits, etc. They happen to have a character called "The Prospector" in the game. But obviously it won't be done for quite some time, in time for your raffle. But it's something to keep an eye to look out for in the future, as you can see from Reaper's previews, the sculpts for the new line are somewhat improved. But anyway, all the best for your fundraiser!

if you want to post pics, right click on the image, then copy image location. then when you post it in the thread, just copy in between
just make sure there are no spaces
