You know I really like GW and the Warhammer universes and all the models and the paints and the brushes, although I did order some Kolinskys from Rosemary & Co., and the whole mythos of the game but I do have one gripe...

The Games Workshop message board sucks! It is one of the most disorganized message boards I have seen in quite some time. For a company as big and powerful as they are they should be able to put up a message board that looks and works nice. Don\'t you agree?

One last funny thing...

I posted just that on the GW board about fifteen minutes ago. About one minute after I posted my topic was frozen! I am not kidding. I think it was like one minute! That is the most aggresive board policing I have seen in ages! Man is GW always this hardcore and aggresive?:flame:

Yes. They got this a few years ago. There were people who would go there and gripe about the insane pricing, and poor business practices. So, they got more mods. From what I heard, and this was many years ago, a lot of the fanboys volunteered to do it. The funny part is there is an e-mail address you are suppose to send your complaints to. The problem is, I’m more than a little sure the address is just emptied and not reviewed. I sent an e-mail there about some money I owed them and they never answered it. I later got another address later.

Really? not much experience with other products? I like GW too, just there are other products I like more.

Guess what.....the chatrooms and forums don\'t generate money for them so guess what they won\'t be putting a lot of money into....
Everyone has their complaints but we just abut all have their stuff I know I do tons of it. My eyes have only recently started to be awakened to other companies and so far I\'m loving dark Age and Rackham with reaper haslefree following then there\'s ......damn this site it\'s cost me so much money......That\'s the beauty of a site where you can discuss and showcase so many syatems everyone get\'s a piece of the pie...or my wallet:drunk:

I had a quick browse around the GW forums last week to see if there had been any feedback on the free minis in WD (hoping to find some dark rumblings). Was amazed at how there seems to be nothing even slightly negative on there at all. Was tempted to start up a few threads about prices, quality etc just to see what happens. Maybe if we all got together... :twisted:

I\'m curious, why would they even bother to have a forum then? There are plenty of other excellent Warhammer sites on the \'net, some general, some dealing with very specific aspects of the mini painting hobby, or GW world races. If the GW forums are so heavily moderated, then they\'re obviously not using the forums as a source of feedback either. ???

Ah, they maintain the forums for their fanboys, out of the goodness of their heart.

Don\'t worry, I don\'t spend enough time there to make it worthwhile. In fact, I seem to be spending my whole day on CMON when I guess I should really be working or something. Still, if my employer didn\'t want me to play oin the internet all day he wouldn\'t have given me access right? lol
I would like to say that I find these forums so much better than most of the others I\'ve been on. Everyone seems free to express themselves and their personalities and the moderators do a good job of keeping things together rather than clamping down arbitrarily as others (no names/no blame) might do.

I don\'t get your point..at all. The thread was an attack against spamming and DR had the very good sense to lock it as it had become boring.

It could be argued that he was protecting a few people on this site whose prolific posting some people regard as spam...ie you!

So I repeat, what is your point ???

GW is a very naughty company! We hate them *rant rant rant* (forget the bit about actually liking some of their stuff)

Freedom of Speech does NOT apply to privately run organizations, message boards included.

It\'s like Freedom of Assembly; You are free to assemble and protest in a public place, but you cannot go into wal-mart and stage an in-store rally.

Mods, give no quarter. If someone\'s outta line, smack them down hard. If they don\'t like it they can leave, and we\'ll all be better off for it. :)
