I was looking at the minis and noticed both the fatties and the abominations have cameras, are obese and are zombies?
Is there a connection?

The abomination isn't obese. He's mutated and "Hulked out" with overmuscularity. He likely represents a tourist caught up in the outbreak, hence the camera.
The fatty IS obese, but he doesn't have a camera. That's a mask that construction workers and painters wear to filter out harmful dust/paint particles while they're working. His clothing and gloves also suggests he was an overweight construction worker.
