Hi all, I\'ve been making commanders for space crusade, and I\'ve been trying to make each one look different by giving each one a unique pose. Here\'s the one I\'m not too sure of, I\'ve tried to make it look like he\'s making a downward stab, but not sure it works, let me know what you think! Apologies for lame photo\'s,I was in a rush to get to work and took them on my phone, the macro kept focusing on the cd spindle, lol

Two things popped into my head that I thought would make the pose work better:

1) Tilt the head and the sword more down towards the ground. This might require moving the torso as well. From the picture I get the impression that he\'s trying to deflect a blow rather than deliver a mercy death blow. Having the head looking more towards the ground to focus on an enemy there would look better.

2) Flipping the sword inside his hand. Rather than a regular grip on the sword, a stabbing grip might look better. Not as much action in that, but goes more along the lines of a final death blow.

Anyway, that\'s my suggestions.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions

1) the head was looking right down the sword, but I\'ve noticed that it\'s slipped in the pic (only held on with blue tac), I\'ve glued the torso in place already so can\'t reposition easily. he did have a different power fist, the one with a clenched fist held in the air and this gave the impression he was delfecting a blow with the fist and stabbing under wth the sword, but I changed it to this one as his face was getting to covered up.

2) I totaly see what your getting at, but would anyone use that kind of grip on a sword? It would suit a dagger, but does it look ok for a sword? i was totally struggling for a right arm that isn\'t just bent at 90 degrees, so ended up chopping the sword arm at the wrist and using a biker arm, so I can pivot the sword a bit.

Perhaps I should change it to a defensive blow stance, as it seems to fit better.
