NMM and Metal

I just wanted peoples opinion on whether or not its okay to mix NMM parts with metallic parts on a model, the example would be a warjack, do the underpart in metallic iron then do the weapons in NMM gold..... just wanted peoples thoughts.

I think they would look odd together. One is a painted illusion and the other is real.

I thought there was a thread about this only a short while ago but there doesn\'t seem to be.

Anyway, personally I don\'t think straight metallics and NMM work together; their intent and style just don\'t \'mesh\'.

Shaded/highlighted metallics though, in combination with a realistic NMM technique can work - for shiny and oxidised metals on the same model (steel sword/armour and old, dull brass for example).

i think it will look ok but the only time i would mix nmm and metallics is if your painting a mini with a banner. do nmm on the banner and metallics on the main mini
