Hey guys just started a new project. A small army of CSM Nightlords.
The force will include 1 Dreadnought, a DP, 5 Raptors and 6 Terminators with 1 lord.
I received the FW Dreadnought today so started from that.

Man, but you paint fast! Those raptors are looking very nice. The dread...well, I can't fault the pj - it's very good, for sure. I just never liked the sculpt. All those red bat wings just look too cartoony. Not your fault, of course. I just think that the night lords could be a really cool, scary, dark legion (eg as depicted in the fluff) and yet the sculptors insist on making them look like skeletor with big red batwings on his head :(

I don't know about fast or not i do this full time so thats why may bee. As for this Nightlord Project there will be no silly winged helmets.

The project continues. Getting closer and closer to the finish. Daemon Prince is in the works and termis in the paint section. Hers some pics for you ^^.

I'm actually a man!
I actually like the wings, its better than silly ones sticking out of the helms. its different and adds a nice touch of colour to the blue scheme.

Re: weapons - in terms of aesthetics, aye - they're looking lovely. I particularly like the shield. I don't know if it's a concern or not, but chaos marines can't take thunder hammer/storm shield. That said, the whole army isn't game legal as it contains no troops, so I suspect rules aren't something you/your client is considering. :)

You are right all the way ^^. My client want an army for display only and those are the weapons of his choice so its understandably.

Night Lords were always my favorite of the CSM color schemes, and these are very well done. The colors are great, and I love the lightning bolts. Glad to see a painter and client who are not limiting themselves by rules.

Thanks Chad, I really like your work aswell. You did an awesome FW Daemon of Khorn if I remember correct.
