Night goblin - DONE

Hi folks,

this is my first serious trying to base.

Body of base is balsa, rocks are from corc, static grass, wood rootlets.
For painting I used acrylic paints(vallejo), mig wash and some pigments.
Water is make from clearfix.

Yeah, that's a seriously good base. Really good use of paint and pigment; the weathering on the rocks and the diverse colors of earth mixed in make it very realistic. It doesn't seem like it will distract from the mini either. Interested to see the night gobo going on top.

the base rocks, veeeery nice!
the night gobbo has a colourscheme that is pretty much freaking me out though :dazed: at least one colour to many. i suggets to let go of the red cloth piece.
just my opinion, of course. :) only a greenskin can wear such a suit, lol

Yep, he's a bit brighter than I'd expected! I agree with Skel about losing a colour & perhaps working a couple of the others into the base somewhere. Not a lot but a couple of blue flowers or some purple shading under the lichen perhaps?

Also, the realistic earth that you've got, just creep it up around his shoes & over his toes to tie the figure to the terrain more.

For a fifth mini you're painting looks to be coming along well & your base is well ahead of the game. Well done :good:

Cheers, B.

Pavel that's nice work on the base especially for a fifth mini.
I'd suggest that if you want to do a similar experiment that you try to keep the colours of the mini echo'd in the base.
For example if its an Orc with green skin and brown leather clothes have tones of the shadows in the ground.
