Hi all, i've put up a few mini's over the last few days and have recieved some scores but no comments. I'm not looking for more hits or higher scores or anything but am interested in why people voted the way they did and what improvements i could be making.

I joined up to improve so i'm looking forward to hearing from you! :worship!:

You sir are good at painting.
Here are some things to help you on.
Neatness - Get much, much sharper at it.
Theme - Don't mix themes. e.g 'cartoon' style paint job presented in and around unpainted natural materials.
Base rims - Black em out to frame your mini (or other singular color)
Photoghraphy - make the levels correct, darks are un-naturally dark.
Photoshop - Too light backgrounds sillouette models making them appear darker than they actually are.

Get on it and lets see what's next

Thanks Tommie, just the kind of constructive criticism i was hoping for ;) i was a bit worried i had overexposed some of the shots on photoshop (hence the "unnatural" blacks) and the lack of sharpness is probably due to laziness on my part that i'll be sure to work on.

Cheers.

I agree, you are a very decent painter!

My favorite is the dude with flames on his legs.

I think at times your paint looks a bit thick. Make sure you are using thinner layers that you build upon. Please post more!

Very good job on the Chaos juggernaut, good solid advice from Tommie (I will take some of it).
Solid work all through. Just dont like the gloss effect on some of the minis, if they are display pieces I wouldn't bother to gloss em! (thats just me) :)
