New miniature finished finally -- Halbarad, Crusader Cleric

Hello everyone, just thought I\'d share my latest mini and put it up for the usual critiques/suggestions/baby-seal-clubbings.

I had a heckuva time photographing metallics, as it was a new thing for me. Actually painting them was a fun change; Automaton\'s article for them completely rocks.

Anyhoo, lemme know what you think, good and the bad (especially the bad)!

Great work! The face looks excellent as does the cloth. The base is very cool and intricate as well.

Hrm... wasn\'t a whole lot to the base, really. The symbol on his pauldrons was free-handed the same on the chest, back, and base. I painted a square/diamond, highlighted and shaded as per the area it was in, then went back in with white in the case of the chest and blue for the cloak/base and created the \"cutouts\" of the form. After that, on the base it was just randomly painting lines to create the \"tiles\" and filling in the blanks from there.

i like the blue cloak, and the pages of the book...
the face and hair is nice, but his eyes could have been better...
the camera is not givin\' your metals any love...
i can see, on his gold beltbuckle, the nice shades ya achieved, but the camera didn\'t pic up the subtlties of the steel...
i\'m sure he looks much cooler in real life....
