New Genes!

Maybe slightly more intricately carved and maybe bigger hands, but I can\'t really see any difference from the old genestealers. I still have some unassembled sprues from the old Space Hulk game to do. The pose looks the same. I always thought they should do more interesting poses, like if they are so darn fast I bet they sometimes use those hands for walking. A Genestealer running on all 6 would be pretty cool!

I agree they could do a ton with that range of figures and to me all they did was mess it up the new Carnifex did me in... very sad. A little bit more defined, but the same pose as the original. Kinda Lame.

What? The genestealers are the oldest in production! It\'s nice to think GW did ONE thing right that they didn\'t have to deny or redo (squats, zoats, slann, eldar harlequins..) :p

Oh, I agree that the old ones are great. They are just the right kind of nasty. The original pose was dynamic and terrifying. I don\'t want to change the critter, just add more poses.

The only difference I can see is the new spine ridges down the back. It puts them more in line with the rest of the figures from that range but doesn\'t change them too much overall. From one perspective it\'s a good way of getting them to be consistent with the rest of the minis, but from another point of view, they are not different enough to be a wow factor and just enough of a difference for people to say \"meh why bother?\".

Regards

Kat

Well slight differences they may be I like them!
More streamlined or so it seems to me...

Vince: I believe they will be just as multi poseable as the rest of the plastic sets maybe you will make that pose a reality,
be sure to post it if you do!

He\'s going to fall over!

The moment I saw these when the pics were released at Gamesday, I thought they looked far too heavy on the front. It\'s nice the fit into the range, but if they\'re going to be part of the starter set, GW should have put more time into them.

Great! another nid that tips forward unless you glue a metal washer under the base. I had enough of those with the termigaunts.

@Dennismech: HAH! GW working on a starter mini. Don\'t forget the space marines, or the bretonian archers, or the chaos warriors that came in the starter paint sets.

Let\'s try to forget about those...please.

I mean like, they should put some effort into them, as they\'re going to be part of the whole 4th edition 40K starter set I hear.

I agree the front arms need to be scaled down a bit.

There has some talk(rumor only) that the models in the 4th edition box will be snap together...
