GW never ripped anything off themselves........Klingon B.O.P, Bespin, Terminators, Aliens, Trade Federation tanks, Aliens drop ship, ESB cloud car...........

i don\'t have a problem with people ripping of gw if they can get away with it (how to vallejo get away with those paint names?)but surely the whole point is to make them a lot cheaper as that seems to be where gw is going wrong?

I like the reaper assault titan but I cannot afford one. Is it going to be all big stuff if it is then it will be a bit limiting as to what you can do with it. Door stop maybe.

yeh but their is such a thing as profesionallism its hard to trust a company or indivijual who has bad speling and grammer is not exactly confidense inspiring if they cant take the time to spellcheck how do you trust them with youre money but anyways it looks like they fixed all there problems there arent any glareing speling erors that i can see and its not like they are as bad spelers as most porn sites...now that is bad speling.Originally posted by finn17

They are cool. GW will look at it for sure, but you cannot kill all competition with ip violations. There are some ideas that lie in the public domain. That is why walkers are walkers. If anyone had the chance for a successful cease and desist order it would have been the Star Wars franchise over the most recent incarnation of the Imperial Guard walker( sorry I meant sentinal ) The irony would be most delicious if GW tries a cease and desist order over this. I am sure George Lucas wasn\'t even made aware of this since his ip people knew it wasn\'t worth the effort. You never know how many people have to defend their salary.

If anyone (GW included) has read some of the information about the company, the kits were built for another game entirely. Yes there are alot of similarities but then isnt there in everything? If GW want to try and enforce their faultering (finally!!!) monopoly over the miniatures market in this case, then \'in my opinion\' they would have to enforce the same rules to the rest, i.e. you have to stop making dice based table top war games involving 28mm miniatures because we do it. Oh in fact you all have to stop making miniatures because we do it.
I really like the hulking brutes this company are making and can see silimarities between them and the Epic Titans, however, that is all they are. As mentioned before, show me one GW model that is not similar to something someone else has already done? Legally they have not broken any copyright laws and even the cease and desist order is unfounded. Where does the madness end? Where is the line drawn? Or is it simply that no company likes competition?
n.b. with that said, Dream Forge, who make miniatures for another game fill a hole in W40k that GW have failed to notice. How long, one wonders before Forgeworld start making these (with the addition of skulls of course, lots and lots of skulls) ?

GW have got no chance if they try to make anything stick with this. It\'s not a direct copy of any of their designs and isn\'t called a \'titan\'. They\'d just be wasting their money (and we all know how they hate to do that)

you know. i didnt even realize any of that was misspelled till vike said something....
isnt there some study that says that things dont have to be spelled correctly they just have to look close? cause that would explain why i didnt notice.
