Hello from Greece everybody, although it's been a long time that I've been painting minis and creating dioramas as a hobby, this is the first time that I decided to share something on the net. I'm sure that it will be more fun like this and I will have the chance to learn some things from all of you.

I'm currently working on a small diorama, its going really slow as I hardly find the time to work on it, but these are some photos of its current state:

As you Imagine, at some point the mini will be standing in the rock beside the tree, but this isn't gonna happen soon :).

I have still some things on my mind about the diorama, washing/drybrushing the grass, adding taller grass and maybe some flowers, adding some washes on the ground to make it more interesting e.t.c.
This is the point that I would like your help. First of all to help me with the diorama, the colors, what to add/remove...
The second point is the color palette for the mini, what do you think will suit the diorama?

Hope to hear from all of you soon,
Cheers

Almost Perftec! Aw, crap.
I really like this. What are the leaves made of, could you do a little trail of them blowing off one of the branches in the same direction that the mini's hair is flowing to give the wind a real presence?

Thank you both for your comments and suggestions.

For the leaves, I've just used some premade ones from decorplus that I've given some wash with some orange-red.

Zab I really like the idea of making the scene more dynamic. The problem is how to make the trail of leaves blown away by the wind. I can put the leaves facing the same direction put I doubt this will be enough.

Well you could glue some together in a wavy line around some wire to make it look like they are blowing away. I did something similar with my c'tan shard. It looks like he is smashing through a pillar and there are pieces following the motion of his scythe:

I think you could do something similar by just adding leaves to each other extending out from one of the leaves on the tree or even a little line of them blowing away from the ground. Hope that helps :)

really nice start. I can see the figure having mostly browns andd deep reds to match the leaves. I love that bonsai looking tree. Looking forward to more.
