Need suggestions for Nec\'s

Ahoy!
I\'ve been working on my Necron force for a few months now, and I\'m stymied for color.

I based BLK, 2x coats of Kameleon Kolor (Copper/GRN) *AWSOME STUFF*

I think the guns need to be another metallic color to stand out from the figs. Apparently a little colorshift goes a long way.

Any suggestions are welecome.

Will post WIPs on lords and Destroyers later.

Personally, I despise Necrons :)
But they can be painted well - look forward to seeing yours :p

Nah, just in forum. Been gazing at voting site for about a year now. didnt think it appropriate to post unfinished figs there (unless greenstuff models)

Well, you need to have the photos accessible somewhere on the internet. Then you just click on the button with the yellow box with a small arrow in the upper left corner (above the box where you type your forum message) and then paste the image location into the dialog box that comes up.

If you use a free image hosting service, like Photobucket, they will give you the BBcode for linking to the image so you can just copy it and paste it directly into your forum post (without using the button I mentioned above).

Maybe if you just picked out the tubes and other misc pieces with a normal color, but leave the gun stock the chameleon color. You could also mix in a good chunk of some silver to mix with the chameleon to give it a lighter appearance.

Well, i tried leaving it as is (just tubes/cables painted) but it still looks drab. It just dosnt stand out. Really tho, thats a prob too, everything I\'ve tried looked like tripe on the flip flop.

heres some destroyers for ex. (they are GRN/BLU)

Well, you could always try some OSL from the scorpion green highlights on the chest and eyes. It could really pop on that kameleon color.

Hmm... I can see how it would seem a bit drab. Especially with all the glitter. Might need to do some really stark contrasting highlights in order to get it to pop more. You could also try to paint a lot more of it, maybe trying with some silvers and other bright colors. That may be too contrasting tho.

Other than that, you could always mix up black glitter paint. :D

picked up some cheap paint to try, got clear/ blu, Diamonds, and platimum glitter paint.

im going to try thinning it extremely and coating guns
