I have loads of chaos space marine stuff and wanted to do a nurgle theme i didnt want to go with a dirty green sceme, and the codex didnt help much. So i was wondering if you could make some suggestions. You guys/gals always seem to help. Thanks in advance

i completley agree. a pre heresy colour scheme would look great. i primer the marines white, then wash em with a mixture of rotting flesh and brown ink. it looks really good.

Thats a cracking colour scheme, i had considered it but will go for it. do you recon it would look ok on standard csm plastics?

You might try looking at infected wounds for ideas - organic shades of red, purple and black go really good with the traditional rotting green and sickly white.

i think that the scheme will look fine on the standards csm\'s...they have a lot of trim around the legs and such, but the aged bronze should look cool on the legs, as it does on the shoulder pads and grills...
i haven\'t had a chance to try it though...i painted this guy 3 years ago, thinkin\' it would be cool to actually paint an army for once in my life, but my schedule never opened up...paintin\' other peoples minis for a livin\' makes for a lot of untried ideas:cry:...
look forward to seein\' some pics of what ya go for...

cheers

A person who i know painted a nurgle army by using successive washes of brown and green shades over a dark metal bases, built up these looked amazing. You could try that or use the same method over white, an different consistencies will give different textures.

I like the idea of the pre-heresy nurgle scheme, as it is something a little different and allows for a lot of weathering. Though a few trials will help see what you like personally etc

Cheers for the number Danny, it\'s possible I got your number and a colleagues transposed. (He shouldn\'t have phoned on a Saturday).

As for the Nurgle effect I was thinking of a Grey primer or base coat, with lots of washes in Greens, Browns, Purple & Black.
Might give that a go myself ready for Platoon Britannica.
