Need a good dry/dead static grass ( UK )

im doing one of my armies in a style similar to some north american deserts, with red rocks and dry earth.

want some drydead grass but the static flock i just got is totaly rubbish ( not entirly sure why, seems just too white, and maybe too thin, duno ), would rather get some recommended than have to try every suppliers stock out.

any pics of what you recomend in use would be amazing.

anyhoo, bristles from a natural broom work quite well for thick grass

anyhoo, bristles from a natural broom work quite well for thick grass
I\'ve used Bristles from an old hairbrush to reasonable effect, provided you can get all the little bits of crud out from between them. lol
El Cheapo paintbrushes (Domestic not real painting) can be cut and small amounts used to simulate clumps and tufts of grasses. You just have to paint them in the right colours.
