Necron Doom/Night Scythe Cockpit ideas

Hey all.. I'm in the process of putting together several Doom/Night Scythes for my Necron army and I'm really not pleased with the idea of even having a pilot. If he stays in there, it doesn't make any sense for him to be open.

So, any ideas on how I might do a conversion? One idea is to just cover it up, but I do like having something there.

Saw one conversion in the gallery that just put a glowing orb in the cockpit. An idea I had was to fill the cockpit with sensor widgets. In fact, the control board from the Triarch Stalker is something I don't plan on using either (don't like the robots driving robots aesthetic) and that could look interesting as a sensor array.. Any other suggestions out there?.. or perhaps places I could look for some custom bits or something?

If you could get hold of an original Necron Spider, the head piece alway looked suitably different.
You could adapt that.

Actually, the Triarch Stalker control pad works better than I thought. See attached. For the back, I'm holding up the back of the Triarch Stalker driver torso. I don't much like the rear, but I like the front. It is a pity I cannot somehow preserve the coffin-shaped cockpit and just have sensor arrays peaking out of it. I have a vision of antennas poking out of it.
