Decided to start one up since my current projects are taking longer than I wanted, and since I just started a new one (Warrior Priest of Sigmar), I decided I might try and do a step by step to hear any tidbits people might want to help on!

So heres just a few below. Nothing fancy or in great detail, might take better ones of the Marines later. Still need to figure out this stupid camera too.

Love the sculpts! Getting to the point myself where I want to start moving from converting into scratch-building. Would like to see a closer shot of the yellow marine, too.

Pretty nice sculpting, I like musculature you did on those miniatures. Also they looks pretty well balanced as far as I can see from pictures. Wondering about your next progress. Keep going mate :good:

Here's a few better shots. Gotta figure out lighting better. I had 2 lights literally 8 inches from the miniature, but it still seems dark, even after touching it up. Could also be the program I'm using, Corel Painter is good for digital painting, not so much photo editing.

My first real try at yellow on a mini. Avoided it for years, not because of not wanting to do it because it'd be hard, just had no interest. I mean...its yellow...like a banana....not very exciting to me in the color theory department. Well...except maybe on a Volkswagen.

Standard blue 'Ultramarine'. For this, and the above, I left out painting any freehand imagery that might tie either to a specific chapter, so that should I finally finish them, and eBay them off, they can be used by whoever for whatever chapter. Gotta love multitasking.

Current project, and the one I'm more than open on input from. Been just recently trying rust effects on metals, and unfortunately, I couldn't quite get a good picture for this. There's some washes on it, black, blue, brown and red inks from GW, then some washes from diluted brown paint from Vallejo for a more splotchy rust effect. Now, I'm not too sure on what colors would appear on a steel or iron piece rusting, any tips?

Still looking for some input. Did some more work on the Priest but haven't had the chance to take pictures yet.

Heres the most recent shots. For the armor, I just wanted to give a used and rusted feel, without it looking overly done. Sort of how I see Warrior Priests, as they are very religious, yet still fighters, they would want their armor in good condition, but at the same time, might not put a huge amount of effort into the upkeep of it. So thats basically what I wanted to give with my rusting effects. Used, yet mantained.
