The osl is from the sword. This is my Celestine model. I tried to plaint some OSL here and think the attempt came out pretty well. I didn\'t use a direct light source for the pic so there\'s no camera trick.
i probly should have shot it against black before selling it.

I like the overall painting of this mini. But for me, the OSL dosnt work. You need to have some REALLY dark parts - darker as you get further from the sword - to make the lighter parts look light. I know, it sounds backwards but to get a real good effect of light you NEED to have dark, even black, areas. Look in the articles section. There is an OSL article there. I\'d get the link but right now I\'m beat.......bed time. Good luck!!

The effect is very subtle, and that is very cool.

BUT, it maybe so subtle that it is overlooked. It works well on the legs and the bottom of the cape to the right, but I am not so sure that the sword is \'lit\' up. I had to really look to figure that out.

Been and voted. Agree with the above, though I have a tendency to be too subtle even with my normal highlights. :D

very hard to do OSL on a brighly lit mini. This is a good place to use a dark background (black velvet, etc.) and what others have said about the mini being too bright is worth repeating.

Wow! You were right, airhead. I drank a pint of Black Velvet (just for background effect) and the OSL work stood out much better lol

Sorry, IPTG, couldn\'t resist. I think the mini came out really well. I tend to be a fan of subtlty, though I know it doesn\'t always fly as well when photographed.
