[/URLI do indeed like the edging on his armour there, the edges are nicely defined. He looks a bit as though he\'s just walked through a car-wash, nicely polished, buffed then powdered. The parchment/scroll/thingamajob is neat. 
Two things stuck out though; his pose seems a little precarious, he should not be relaxing the way he is when he looks like a feather might topple him backwards. And when a space marine falls... Second, there is too much highlighting, or too little shading on his bolter. Exactly which, I\'m not sure, depends on the effect you want.
He\'s lovely though, an army painted in this manner would be quite a spectacle.

What I can see looks pretty good. I like the highlighting on the blue. Try to re-shoot it with more light or open the aperature of the camera more. The writing on the scroll is cool though a wash of white would be good to dull the contrast of the letters. I have found when doing small writing that grey instead of black makes the writing look smaller and more petit\'.

looks good however 1 or 2 more highlights could help it on its way also the name plate could use some colour... another thing i just thought of.. take some of the original gold colour (it looks washed?) and blend that into it leaving the corners dark then near the top blend a mix of gold and silver then at the very top blend silver into the gold

Overall it looks good. I agree with what has been said so far. So I won\'t rehash that stuff.
There are a couple of things not mentioned yet that I noticed. One is I think there should be something on the shoulder pads, way to much blank space, especially on the left pad. And the other his right fist does not look right, too flat. It looks like he should have something in that hand. Now I realize that he would have the bolter in that hand normally.

I agree with Modderhu, nice paintjob, but he looks a bit too clean.
Also, if you want to participate in a painting comp you might want to practice the lettering on the base, because you\'re going to loose points there right now. You need to go for the printed look, instead of just hand-writed letters.
And you need to improve your picture quality lot. And what\'s that shadow in front of the mini?
