So, I'm VERY new to the game, but we are playing it somewhat regularly.

The main rule everyone seems to hate is the Survivors always get hit first when shooting into his/her area when wanting to shoot zombies in the same zone. So I came up with a rule. I mentioned this rule at the Season 3 kickstarter and people there seemed to really like it. So I decided to post it here, perhaps you all would like it too...and perhaps the developers? :glasses-nerdy:

So here it is:

Aim-Dice

The concept is easy, as your Survivor progresses/levels he/she gets better in aiming with their weapons. This gives a more natural and realistic feel in my opinion. The more they kill, the better they are at it. So it just seems odd they would always hit the survivor.

So when attacking an area which has another Survivor in it, you add a 6 sided "Aim-Dice". This dice should look different than the others so you can easily tell them apart (I personally have a black 6 dice). You always roll the Aim-Dice with your shot.
According to your level, you need to roll within these numbers to successfully miss the survivor(s) in the area you are aiming into.

Note that once you are in the red you are not a sure-shot. There is always that chance you will hit the Survivor, hence the 1-5. Rolling within these numbers mean you DO NOT hit the survivor..in other words you successfully aim at the zombies.

There you have it. Short and simple. What you guys think? Would love any feedback.

Yo, not a bad idea,

but as the goal is not to hit the survivor (yet... but pvp comes soon :D) - I would take 5-6 , 4-6 , 3-6 and 2-6 for the numbers to roll...

I'll personaly still play with the normal rule, 'cause I think it is a very important part of the game mechanics

It's not for aming at the Survivors, it's for missing and hitting Zombies instead. I see I used a poor description at the end there and used "miss" at the end, I have changed that now.

The rolls 1-2, 1-3, 1-4 and 1-5 mean if you roll within these numbers you successfully MISS the survivor. This is instead of the always hit Survivors first rule.

We have been playing with these rules for a few games now with great success. It's pretty intense and adds risk. Especially when firing into an area with a survivor with only 1 health left...

I think he did understand, and I agree.

Almost always, a roll of a six is good and a one is bad. As such, it would make more sense that at Blue you need a 6+ to avoid hitting a survivor, at yellow a 5+, orange a 4+ and red a 3+. I don't think you should ever go more accurate than that, though. Makes a mockery of the balancing aspect of firearms and the scope/abilities!

Sorry, I'm pretty new to the board gaming, I agree using the terms 3+ etc is a more clear way of explaining the mechanic.
